THE JOURNALIST

Photography was my entry into the world of journalism. I walked into the newsroom at the Purdue Exponent and realized it was the place I was meant to be. A daily deadline forced me to be laser-focused on the task at hand and produce for nearly every issue. I pushed myself creatively. I loved shooting sports, especially. After graduation, I joined the Herald-Press as the paper's photographer, and my Purdue experience served me well. I moved into the sports editor's role in 1990, but I've never stopped shooting. Below is just a small sampling of the thousands of editorial photos I took during my time at the Huntington Herald-Press.

In addition, there is a separate page from my work covering former Vice President Dan Quayle.
